Coalville is a former coal mining town in North West Leicestershire with a population of around 45000.
A disused colliery at Snibston is now a discovery park. Local risks include the Stephenson College, a shopping centre, community hospital and many small industrial units.
The Bardon Hill Quarry is also in Coalville's area.
