Syston is a town just North of the city of Leicester, with around 12000 population.
It is now mainly a commuter town for the City, but still has warehousing and distribution centres, plus some smaller companies on industrial units.
Given the close proximity to the city, this station will assist with large incidents there and provide cover for other stations if required.
