For over 50 years, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service have been fund raising every December with Rudolph, and have raised more than £270,000 in that time for local childrens charities.

Many thanks to everyone who supported the Rudolph fund in 2008, £13824 was raised which will benefit several charities including Leicestershire Down's Syndrome Group, Wishes For Kids and The Laura Centre.

This year (2009) Rudolph and his sleigh will only be at "static" collection points.
