Fogging Unit at Market Bosworth Station |
||
| Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service now has the capability to respond to Fires off road. This has been achieved by adapting a Ford Ranger 4x4 to operate as a Fogging Unit. The Fogging Unit is now on the run and is based at Market Bosworth Fire Station Call Sign S39W1. The major benefit is that the Fogging Unit can access areas that until now would have meant a long walk for Fire crews on foot with equipment away from their Fire appliance. The unit produces a fine spray of water which is effective on certain types of fire, and is mobilisied as a special appliance to field and barn fires. |
